Over 50 Series

‘AIDS Knows No Age’ barbershop poster (2004) – A community barbershop was chosen as the site for this +50 HIV/AIDS prevention poster. The male models are ‘over 50’ citizens who asked to participate in this intervention initiative designed to reach sexually active older adults. CCfH produced the message and images for the CT Department of Public Health (DPH) with funding provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The posters are disseminated to community agencies and barbershops statewide and will be featured on bilingual HIV/AIDS fact sheets distributed to urban, suburban, and rural care providers.
‘AIDS Knows No Age’ beauty parlor poster (2004) – The community beauty parlor ‘hair dryer’ scenario was chosen for this +50 HIV/AIDS prevention poster. The female models are ‘over 50’ citizens playing themselves and they regularly volunteer for a local AIDS organization and asked to participate in this intervention initiative designed to reach sexually active older adults. CCfH produced the message and images for the CT Department of Public Health (DPH) with funding provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
